Lowering Volume Quickly
Activating the Audio Mute function will instantly lower the volume
level by 20 dB.
Press /MUTE (CDE-9874 only) or MUTE/SETUP
(CDE-9872 only) to activate the MUTE mode.
The audio level will decrease by about 20 dB.
Pressing /MUTE (CDE-9874 only) or MUTE/SETUP
(CDE-9872 only) again will bring the audio back to its
previous level.
Setting Time

Press and hold SOUND/SETUP (CDE-9874 only) or
MUTE/SETUP (CDE-9872 only) for at least

seconds to activate the SETUP mode.

Turn the Rotary encoder (CDE-9874 only) or press
and (CDE-9872 only) to select the CLOCK ADJ
mode, and then press / /ENT.
The time indication will blink.

Turn the Rotary encoder (CDE-9874 only) or press
and (CDE-9872 only) to adjust the hours while
the time indication is blinking.

When the hour has been adjusted, press / /ENT.

Turn the Rotary encoder (CDE-9874 only) or press
and (CDE-9872 only) to adjust the minutes
while the time indication is blinking.

Press and hold SOUND/SETUP (CDE-9874 only) or
MUTE/SETUP (CDE-9872 only) for at least 2
seconds to return to normal mode.
To synchronize the clock to another clock/watch or radio time
announcement, press and hold
/ /ENT for at least 2 seconds
after setting the “hour.” Minutes will reset to “00”. If the display
shows over “30” minutes when you do this, the time will advance one
hour.
Pressing /MUTE (CDE-9874 only) or /AUDIO (CDE-9872
only) will return to the previous mode.
If no operation is performed for 60 seconds, the unit will return to
normal mode automatically.

is displayed.
