SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
1. Maintain a safe working environment. Keep the work area well lit. Make sure
there is adequate surrounding workspace. Always keep the work area free of
obstructions, grease, oil, trash, and other debris. Do not use the Planer in areas
near flammable chemicals, dusts, and vapors.
2. Maintain labels and nameplates on the Planer. These carry important infor-
mation. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.
3. Ground this product. To comply with the National Electric Code, and to provide
additional protection from the risk of electrical shock, this product should only be
connected to a 120 volt electrical outlet that is protected by a Ground Fault
Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
4. Never plug the Power Cord of this product into an electrical outlet while
standing on a wet or damp surface.
5. To avoid electrical shock, do not pull or carry the Planer by its Power
Cord or pull the Power Cord around sharp corners or edges.
6. Do not unplug the Planer by pulling on the Power Cord. Keep the Power
Cord away from heated surfaces.
7. Avoid unintentional starting. Make sure you are prepared to begin work
before turning on the Planer.
